Tonga: new footage shows aftermath of volcano eruption and tsunami

Footage has emerged from Tonga showing buildings covered with ash, as well as damage to properties and infrastructure.

The Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai volcano erupted on Saturday evening, triggering tsunami waves of up to 15 metres. Water supplies were seriously affected by volcanic ash, according to the government. The video was livestreamed by Marian Kupu for Broadcom Broadcasting
