I am uploading this video just to bring up the current condition of the China as many people are affected by recent flood in the country.

On May 10th, starting at 2pm, Wuhan suddenly turned as dark as night, followed by torrential rain, accompanied by hail and level 10 winds. As seen from photos and videos posted by locals, there was standing water in many parts of Wuhan, trees were blown down and the roof of the Wuhan Station waiting hall had severe leaks. Local netizens have expressed their fear caused by the sudden rainstorm.

In the face of strong convective weather in many parts of Hubei province, Hubei’s meteorological department issued more than 100 hail, heavy rain, wind, and lightning warnings on May 10th. Wuhan Central Meteorological Station issued an emergency yellow warning signal for high winds, which is expected in the next 3 hours. Wuhan City, Hannan, Caidian, Jiangxia, Dongxihu districts will experience level 8-10 thunderstorms, winds accompanied by light hail, with rainfall of 30 to 50 mm.

According to the description of Wuhan Meteorological Station, the rainfall was comparable to having a big bag of water fall from the sky. From 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the 10th, the national meteorological station near Wuhan’s Dongxihu district showed that the 1-hour rainfall reached 29.2 mm. However, 24 regional stations in the central city area showed an hourly precipitation of more than 50 mm. Wuhan University of Science and Technology City College, situated near the East Lake, received up to 99.6 mm of rain in one hour.
